  1. What a great photo that is of Obama with that little girl.

What a great night this is.

It’s only a first step, but it’s a very good first step.
Great thanks to all who helped make it possible.

  2. Russia seems to have an interesting view on the election.

“Only satan would have been worst than Bush”

“Welcome back, people of the United States, welcome back into the fold of the international community, where you will find friends and not foes, where you will find we all prefer to smile and not to cry and that when we do cry, our tears taste of salt just like yours do, whether we are pink, blue, white, yellow or black.”

  3. I’m amazed. I’m getting faklempt. If I wasn’t buzzed I’d be hitting the ceiling. All I can say is Holy. Shit. over and over. I’m proud of my fellow voters and of Barack.

    amazing.

  4. WHERE ARE THE RACE RIOTS?!?!?!?!

Rush promised us race riots. Where are they??????

  5. Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner = Awesome.

Obama = Sidney Poitier = classy black man breaking down barriers = awesomeness.

Sorry, hard to be eloquent…I’ll leave that up to the president-elect

  6. Actually there were some idiots in NYC trying to mess with fire trucks and other vehicles. Apparently to some, “celebration” means destroy things. We get the same thing from sports fans also. There are always some that ruin it for all.

  7. My wife and I spent yesterday afternoon knocking on doors of the poorest black neighborhoods in New Haven. Rickety buildings, old rusting cars, and weathered dirty windows. I will never forget as long as i live the look of hope and relief on their faces as we asked them to vote, and if they needed a ride to the polls. They proudly pointed to their “I voted today” sticker. School kids were walking home from school- laughing and wearing Obama buttons. My humor got the best of me and i couldn’t help but ask some of the residents why there were no McCain / Palin signs? The laughs I got said it all.
The eight year nightmare is over. So is the era of deception, willful ignorance, lies, and character assassination. It is truly a different country today- a better country.
For the first time in eight years- have some hope.
    Mike
