Have you guys read about the would-be Aspen bomber? http://www.cnn.com/2009/CRIME/01/01/aspen.banks/index.html
Now, I personally believe that more tragedies should end with the perpetrator offing himself rather than taking the lives innocent people. But…
TWICE in that article… not just once but TWICE… it was the MONEY that Aspen lost which took center stage! Oh, yea. Never mind that the story was supposed to be about a thwarted crime and someone’s suicide. Let’s bring up money so Aspen’s poor, poor business people can share their terrible plight with the world! And it was a Wednesday, for f–k’s sake! Not a Friday or Saturday night. Gawd.
You guys make a very funny show.
I laughed and laughed and called somebody else in the room to watch and he laughed hard too.
Thank you so much!
That pro-Judith Miller movie — wierd how the capital was available to invest in revisionism and then put the word ‘truth’ in the title! The Bush Gang, Corporatists et al have stolen so much money (what with missing money, war profits, and the recent no-audit bank bail-out), they will have a lot more money to invest in revisionist movies and psy-ops of the media/cinema kind.
The other “films” you include in your skit, I believe have a predictive edge to them. I bet their realworld counterparts are on the way!
Sammy, while overall I love your work, comedically, as a political analyst, and as a radio interviewer/talk show host, I think you may be rushing to judgment in labeling “Nothing But the Truth” as being about Judith Miller. While there are certainly some things in the story that are suggestive of Judith Miller, it is such a departure from actual events as to have little correlation to being a retelling of her story. Even the director/writer, Rod Lurie, denies that it was never meant to be about Miller or Valerie Plame:

Otherwise, I’m still a loyal fan of yours. Keep up the great work.
the best remedy to get over an ex wife who is a hair dye model is to buy the box, erase the eyes and mouth, draw buck teeth, googly eyes and boogerize the nose, then mail it too her. i have done this many times and it is very releasing.
if that doesn’t work, give her a call and tell her that is not her natural hair color.
Do you have Any information on your sources ?
Yet another interesting post, keep em coming!
