About

MARON V. SEDER is the first of its kind; a daily, live online political talk and comedy show. At 3pm Eastern every weekday, Marc Maron and Sam Seder will do battle on the hot topics of the day, with live guests, comedy sketches, and recurring segments, all streaming live at mvsLive.com. In addition to the daily live broadcast, visitors will be able to view the show on demand, subscribe to vodcasts and podcasts of the show, and chat live, 24/7, with fellow fans and the hosts.

mvsLive.com will also be home to exclusive on-demand video content from Marc and Sam. Along with a fully interactive blog, Marc and Sam will provide mvsLive.com with interviews, political discussions, and irreverent comedy that can’t be seen anywhere else.

“Based upon the fact that no one has developed a model for what we’re doing, we’re confident that people will consider this a success,” said Sam Seder. “I see our show as PornTube meets MSNBC meets Twitter meets PopFly meets Yodio meets SplashCast meets Zillow meets TradeSports meets Meets.com.”

Marc Maron added, “I’m excited that Sam and I will be able to take risks in a new format, and whether we succeed or fail, it will be available online forever.”

Marc Maron and Sam Seder are veterans of film, television, stand-up comedy and radio. Marc has appeared on “Late Nite with Conan O’Brien” more than 40 times, several times on “The Late Show with David Letterman,” half-hour specials on HBO and Comedy Central, and was the host of Morning Sedition and The Marc Maron Show on Air America Radio. Sam has acted in and written nearly a dozen network sitcoms. He is a political commentator on MSNBC and CNN, and was the host of The Sam Seder Show, The Majority Report, and Seder on Sundays on Air America Radio. He has directed several TV shows and films including The Gary Busey Show, Who’s the Caboose? , A Bad Situationist and Pilot Season. They’ve known each other for 20 years. They’re not quite friends but they’re able to work together. For the right price.

  2. good luck guys

  3. How in the heck do you hear the live show today, Oct. 1? This isn’t very easy.

  4. I’m with Mary Ann: how do you hear the live show or the audio podcast of the today’s show? How long is each show? I see it starts at 3p ET but for how many fabulous moments can I see/hear the M v. the S?

Thanks to all who pulled this together; now just give me a little instruction and I’ll be a happy fan again.

  5. Much better than I expected and my expectations were high. Glad to see you on a platform that will finally get you launched…barring total and catastrophic global depression wrought by heartless greedy souless really rich high functioning morons.

  6. Love you guys. Thanks for sticking it out. (And I don’t mean that in a Freudian way.)

  7. The technical challenges for this are not really working. I’ve tuned in on two different occassions and am interested but gave up each time. Keep trying. There is an interest.

  8. how do I listen to the current day? I have now heard October 1st - maybe three times. Very funny - but I have started memorizing the conversations! Help me!

  9. Marc and Sam are incredible!!!!!! I am still mourning the lost of Morning Sedition and Seder and Garofalo. Those were the best old days!!!!!! We are thrilled to have both of you guys back. KUDOS!!!!!!!!

  10. Sam Seder what joy to hear you on radio again. I figured Air America muzzled you. I am a major fan from Morning Sedition through Seder on Sundays. The duo of you and Marc creates great shtick. I look to you to help me analyze and laugh at the powers that be. Sweeeet!

  11. I just found out on the AAR website. So glad to have an alternative to Ron Kuby!

  12. I lost the feed about 15 minutes ago and can’t get it back nor the audio either. I restarted and came back in but still no go. What’s up?

P.S. What does your question above entitled “Website” mean?

  13. doggone it, yer a team of Mavricks!

  15. Hey, tech dudes. We want to run Angry Chef on the site- is there anyway I can get it as one video instead of in sections?

    Thanks!
    Amanda

  16. Could you tell me where I can link to that clip shown on the 10/10 show that had the three inbreeds on the ATV talking about Bah-rahk HOO-sane OBA-ma–the one with woman giving a diatribe, and the guy on the back trying to block his face on camera by waving at the camera.

    Thanks

  17. Love the show, but having trouble with the sound. It’s very loud and distorted compared to other online shows. The loud I can adjust of course, but it’s very boom-y if you know what I mean.

  18. Goog luck guys! I’m a big fan. Always have been, probably always will be. I’ll make sure to tune in at 3pm!

  19. I just found a new favorite show!!! you guys are great, really! thanks for your comments yesterday (Oct. 22 show) about “we’ll get through this thing together” yeah, it sound Republican but it lifted my spirits. depression is a serious issue, I’m no stranger to that. Also, the opening where Mark is in Kansas was frickin’ hilarious!!!! What SHE doing??? Who’s in that SHED?? I was tearing up. Sad to say, Kansas looked similar to certain regions in Minnesota. freaky. I love Angry Chef too.

thanks again for a great show!!!! Jeremy (from Minnesota)

  20. JUST IN CASE y’all missed it:

The spirit of protest is alive in kicking in Indiana.

  21. Keep up the great work Sam and Marc. Wishing you all the success. It’s nice to see that your hairbrain scheme has paid off, here’s hoping it keeps paying off not only for your adoring audience but yourselves also.

  22. LOVE the show and SO glad to see you guys on the air 5 days a week! Huzzah! Wish the show could be longer every day because it’s THE BEST!

    Best,
    Jim in Portland

  23. Where is the October 31 podcast?
    It’s a no show onitunes.

  24. you guys have been doing some very good shows. keep up the good work putting a smile on my fact in these worried times.

    :+)

    tdr

  25. Yeah! Two of my favorite AAR alums. I’ve listened for a few days on Podcast and the show is fun and well done. Keep it up.

  26. I love that you guys are back, and I love the Video format. I have been a fervent of The Young Turks and think VOD media or web TV is the future. I love the creativity you guys add to the format with the roll in packages. Keep up the great work. I’ll be watching and spreading the word.

  27. your thumbfinger burn! it’s a burn from a kebab skewer! ?

  28. (marc)

  29. I love it. Sam, the riff on how white guys can’t get a job anymore was awesome (Referring to the EX-COMIC who got dressed down by the Shep). Keep up great work you guys, Allen from Boise.

  30. Sam’s GWB action figure bit from 11/13 was stellar. “I’m responsible for electing this black President!” Up and away!

Marc’s Inner Dialogue is my favorite thing yet. Happy goofy Marc = very funny Marc. I know we love Haggard Depressed Marc, but this is refreshing and even better.

I still dug the beard though.

  31. where do I sign up?

  32. Love the show guys. In case you need a good source for daily right-wing wackiness, http://townhall.com/columnists/ provides a good single source for the latest from Beck, Malkin and the likes. One dude talks about how he’s beefing up his personal gun inventory as a result of the Obama victory.

  33. Lawton Smalls please!!!!!

  34. Brendan!

PuhLEASE - get someone to fix the COMPRESSION when you patch a phone call through during the show.

It’s why the call starts LOUD until the person speaks for a while - then it gets softer and softer…until they’re silent for a few seconds while M & S speak, then it BLASTS when the caller starts speaking again.

my speakers can only handle so much output, dude!

    -great show though!

    -”Chris from CT”
    (FIRETRUCK)

PS- Can you get Tsurumi on the last show of the Bush Administration?
    (”The Grade is F”)

  35. Hey, great to see both you guys up and running. LOVE IT!

Stick around for a while and I will watch.

    Dylan

  36. This show makes me very, very happy. Do not stop producing it, but rather continue to produce it.

I will let you know if there should ever come a time when stopping production of this great program is warranted.

    Thanks!
    Matt

  37. Check out http://www.dvorak.org/blog for the paper plate bandit. Note site printed on paper plate is Douchebag.com

  38. Love this so far. Checked it out for Maron initially, still having Sedition withdrawals (only reason I listened to AAR, what a Gold Mine. Sedition, that is.) Anyway, like what I’ve seen and heard here. God I miss Marc and Mark. But glad to see Sam and Marc playing well together. Not that familiar w/ Sam, but happy to get to know him. Any chance of some Jim Earl here? Doesn’t hurt to ask. Or does it?

  39. Love the show… I really miss my Marc & Mark mornings and the Sam Seder Show. But hey, here we all are, I guess.

    Keep with it!

  40. Boehner Response to Obama’s Package: “It’s Huge”

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/01/05/AR2009010502752.html

“Minority Leader John A. Boehner (R-Ohio) … expressed concerns about the size of the package …”

( There’s probably a better article to crib this bad, bad joke from…but its best I can do just now. )

  41. really bummed you guys are off.

  42. C’mon keep going guys…

  43. What happened to your 1995 standup on HBO making fun of the internet?
